OwnFone has developed the world's simplest credit card sized mobile phone. They work with charities such as Age UK and Stroke Association to help elderly people stay connected with their families.

While working at OwnFone in 2014 - 2015 we developed a project with the intention to start a makers revolution in the mobile phone industry, giving people the possibility to personalise and 3D printing their own electronic devices. As e-waste is the fastest growing waste category, a system was designed where the user could bring their own plastic waste and be involved in the process of shredding and extruding the material, which would then be used to 3d print a very simple mobile phone. The mobile phone casing could then be recycled and printed again and the electronic components reused, creating a more sustainable and circular system.
